Core Values

Core Values are the constant, passionate, shared convictions which drive and shape Faith Church of Grayslake..  They affect how we go about accomplishing our mission and vision.  Core Values reveal the unique strengths of this church.   Core Values complement but do not reiterate our Core Beliefs.  Our Core Beliefs are shared with many churches.  Our Core Values express why we do ministry.

 

Core Value #1: Voluntary Participation

We follow Jesus and invite others to join us because God has changed our hearts and given us a desire to serve Him.

 

Core Value #2: Life Transformation

In making disciples we focus on the direction of a person’s life. Are we moving toward Jesus or away from Him? What are the next steps we need to take to become more like Jesus?

 

Core Value #3: Total Mobilization

We equip everyone for service in a way that fits their level of spiritual and emotional maturity, as well as their spiritual gifts and personal style.

 

Core Value #4: Growing Generosity

We want to grow in our expressions of generosity to God, one another, and the world.

 

Core Value #5: Kingdom Partnership

While we recognize the importance of people having deep relationships and accountability in their own local church, we also desire to work with other churches for greater kingdom impact.

We build strong partnerships between parents/grandparents and church in all areas of ministry to influence the next generation to become mature followers of Jesus.
